**Which of the coils above suits your application the best?

For the great majority of street riders, the Dyna coils are the better choice -

Both the Dyna and Accel coils will give a big increase in spark over stock.....This increase is
magnified with the use of an electronic breaker, like the Dyna shown above.....
For applications where obtaining the strongest spark possible is the main goal, the Accel coils are
likely the best choice: While they take more effort to install, they are simply stronger than the
Dynas, and tend to be a better item for all-out performance bikes. Also, the 8mm wires they use
do have an edge over the 7mm wires from a performance standpoint.

However, for applications where maintaining a stock, or near-stock  appearance is important,
the Dynas make more sense. The 7mm wires that they use more closely resemble the originals,
and they also mount directly to your stock 1973 to 1980 frame - So installing them is a little easier.
If you use a set of the black 7mm wires, especially with original-type plug caps, they still maintain a
largely factory look. But, if ease of installation is important to you, don't sell the Dynas short -
They can run any performance engine well.

But if maximum spark is your goal,  and /or and the fat 8mm wires are your preference -
Then the Accel coils are for you .......
